The Toshiba Satellite C50D-A-133 is a new notebook from Toshiba’s range. Claiming to be “feature rich and value packed” we put this to the test.
Screen Size: 15.6 Inches
Screen Resolution: 1366×768
CPU: AMD E1-2100 1.0GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3 SDRAM
Storage: 500GB Hard Drive
DVD Drive: Yes
Average Battery Life: Around 4 hours (6-cell battery)

15.6 inches at 1366×768 will not look clear for most people. You will be able to see the pixels on the screen and won’t get that “retina” display that looks beautiful.
This notebook has an AMD E1-210 which only runs at 1GHz, not that great for modern standards. It is perfectly fine for web browsing and Microsoft Office however games such as Minecraft will not run well on this machine.
4GB of RAM is great and considered optimal for most computer set ups that don’t have RAM intensive applications on them. You’ll be able to open multiple browser tabs and applications without sacrificing performance however you definitely shouldn’t rely on the C50D-A-133 for Photoshop or After Effects. For the average user, 4GB RAM is perfect.
500GB of data is great for any laptop. You can store thousands of songs, videos, pictures and documents on this device and you’ll still have room for some more, making this a great benefit for this toshiba.
The battery life could be better, however for the average user 4 hours is great. You probably couldn’t use this device outdoors a lot however if you’re using this laptop for indoor use then you’ll have no problems whatsoever
Overall, this laptop is a great for the average consumer – word processing, browsing and media will be a breeze on this device. However, if you need something with more firepower then the Asus X550CC-XO071H is a better option.
