Cons: No retina display, expensive, learning curve for new OSX users, No DVD drive

 

2. Macbook Air 11-inch

Like the Macbook Air 13-inch, only smaller. The 11 inch version of Apple’s powerhouse is cheaper and more suited for travelers. With an amazing 9 hour battery life and again a Intel Core i5 CPU. It is more than £100 cheaper than the 13 inch model, so this laptop gives you more value for money. A great buy for anyone who can afford it.

Pros: Great price, Lenovo brand

Cons: Low resolution for it’s screen size, large to travel with.

 

4. HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-n024sa

The resolution isn’t top-notch (1366×768) however for great video quality you can also attach the TouchSmart to your HD TV via HDMI cable.

Pros: 1TB Hard Drive, Touchscreen

Cons: Low DPI, 2 Kilograms
