Screen: 7/10

This Laptop boasts a 15.6 inch screen however due to it’s recent release we don’t have a say on the screen resolution at this moment. However, due to it’s ASUS Splendid Technology, we’re giving the screen a 7/10.

CPU: 9/10

This notebook features a top-spec Intel Core i5. Intel remain at the top in terms of CPU’s and they deserve to stay at the top. The i5 is fast and is the most respected line of CPU’s at this moment in time. It deserves a 9/10 – a definite 10 if it was a Core i7.

RAM: 8/10

A nice 6GB comes by default with this laptop – great for handling multiple applications at a time such as Photoshop, After Effects and even video games. (We reckon this device could play most next-gen games on medium.) The Asus X550CC-XO071H definitely deserves a 8/10 for that.

Storage: 8/10

750GB of data can be held on this device – great for on the go video editors, graphic designers and gamers. 750GB is great for a Laptop of this price so it receives a 8 from us in the storage department.

Battery Life: 6/10

This is where the Asus X series laptop falls short – battery life. It has an average of around 3 hours which is decent, but could be better.

Overall, this laptop is a great buy, it reins in most of the categories above and is cheaper than Apple’s flagship ultrabook – the Macbook Air.
